About Us
I am an enthusiast. I love cars, motorcycles, racing, the sound of an engine on-song. While I specialize in classic European cars (and trucks), I also enjoy classic Japanese and domestic vehicles as well. It is very important to me that customers are happy with products and services that they receive - expectations met or exceeded whenever possible. My goal is to make friends with customers and do more business with them in the future.
Who We Are
I grew up in the midwest, and worked my way through college at a VW-Porsche shop (Bruch Motorwerke) and started a small VW parts business (Dunn's Rabbit Farm) while still in college, to help my friends and I get the performance VW parts we needed for our autocross cars. My professional career has been almost entirely in the automotive industry, in Import Automotive mail-order parts houses, supercharger manufacturers, water-methanol injection manufacturing, and classic car importing and brokering.
Our History
Greg Gear Head started many years ago as a way to sell off some extra parts for car projects I didn't think I was going to get to. Then it grew to selling enough to finance some of my personal car projects. I've always loved the unique, different and usually underdog cars and motorcycles, and revel in the parts that make them that way - cool accessories, wheels, hot rod parts and more. It grew and grew in the background, until one day years ago, fed up with some of the drawbacks in the corporate world, I decided to make it a full time job.
Now we carry used parts, new parts, locate classic European (and Japanese) vehicles for domestic and overseas customers, and help to market and sell collector vehicles and race cars.
